About The Virtual Teacher

Welcome to the Virtual Teacher! I'm Wendy Elizabeth (Lisa) Gowins, dedicated to empowering learners of all ages. I've taught in six school district-locally, for Lufkin and Diboll. for a total of 20 years. I'm a published author with experience editing and advising other teachers and writers. I've tutored many kids, young people, and adults, teaching reading, writing, and speaking. Along the way, I became very adept at figuring out where learners were in their journey. Now Iam helping them move forward toward their goals with the empowerment gained through personalized education. I am a certified teacher, have an ESL and TOEFL certificate, am a published author, earned a Masters in Creative Writing. Now I teach classes and provide learning assistance online.
