About The Virtual Teacher

Welcome to the Virtual Teacher! I'm Lisa Gowins, dedicated to empowering learners of all ages. I've taught in six school districts (both public, private, and for colleges) for a total of 20 years. I'm a published author with experience self-editing, and editing and advising for other writers. I've tutored many kids, young people, and adults, teaching reading, writing, and speaking. Along the way, I became very adept at figuring out where learners were in their journey. Now I helping them move forward toward their goals with the empowerment gained through personalized education. I am a certified teacher, have an ESL and TOEFL certificate, am a published author, earned a Masters in Creative Writing. Now I teach classes and provide learning assistance online.
